Hollywood Riviera is an area located in both Redondo Beach and Torrance at the base of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The Hollywood Riviera was initially developed by Clifford Reid in the 1920’s. Reid was fascinated by the motion picture industry, and when he first viewed the area he compared it to the French Riviera. He believed that it would be very attractive to the Hollywood crowd, thus naming it Hollywood Riviera. Approximately 2 square miles of land, with about one mile of coastline. The Riviera Village is filled with various shopping, galleries and restaurants and less than 2 blocks to the beach. Many of the homes in the Hollywood Riviera have views of the ocean and are walkable to the Village and the beach.
